How Field Briefs are checked

A Field Brief must come from a trip the creator took. It includes trip dates, the route, costs and what went wrong. The creator checks each section before publishing. A date on a Brief tells you when it was filed, not that every permit or fare still holds.
Reader confirmations
Readers can confirm a place they visited and report a detail that changed. Those reports appear separately from the creator's account. One confirmation does not verify every claim in the Brief.
Field recordings
Creators may attach recordings made in the field, with transcripts when available. A recording gives context for a detail; it does not prove that the same price, route or contact is still current.
AI and source material
AI can help sort a creator's notes into a draft. It cannot supply evidence, verify a fact or publish the Brief. The creator checks dates, names and prices against their own records. Source files and private contact details stay private by default.
Refunds
Paid Field Briefs are eligible for a self-serve refund within seven days of purchase from Purchases. Repeated refunds can limit self-serve access. Subscriptions and tips follow different rules; see the refund policy.
